Chaos

Summery: When Robin left Port Charles instead of going back to France she went to Italy, where she now lives with her grandfather Giovanni Soltini, Filomena’s Husband. She has changed her goals of becoming a doctor and is now the CEO of Soltini Enterprises, Giovanni’s multi-million dollar company. Soltini Enterprises is entering into a partnership with ELQ, which will bring it in to the United States. Since Robin is CEO and will one day own the company, Giovanni is sending her to Port Charles for the first time in two years, to start the new branch of Soltini Enterprises. Meanwhile in Port Charles Carly successfully managed to drive A.J. backing to drinking and got full custody of Michael, which she shares with Jason. They live together but it is strictly for Michael, no matter how hard Carly tries, Jason will not sleep with her. After the fiasco with Hannah, Sonny is now dating Alexis, her and Ned broke up because he fell in love with Chloe and they parted peacefully. Sonny & Jason both have left the organization for good and are board members on ELQ. Nobody but Jax knows that Robin is the CEO and is coming back to work with ELQ.

On a Company jet Robin sits looking out the window, idly watching the landscape pass her by. After leaving Port Charles in January of ’99 she never looked back, her life had gotten out of control and she didn’t like the person she had become. She was weak, always putting others happiness above hers and getting crushed by the people she loved the most. She had let Jason control their relationship and he had put his wants above her needs. After that night on the bridge she’d decided to start her life over, instead of going to Paris and becoming a doctor she went to her Florence family estate to live with her grandfather Giovanni. While there he had gotten her interested in his Company Soltini Enterprises, she start out as an Intern and learn the company inside out, making her way up to CEO and future owner. While her business life skyrocketed her personal life fell to the back burner, she had a few dates but never really connected with any body. Her musings are cut short with the pilot calls to say they will be landing in Port Charles in 15 minutes. Exiting the jet she tells the limo driver to take her to the Port Charles Hotel, she had talked to Jax, one of the very few she kept in contact with, and he had said he would get her the penthouse across for his. She mentally gathers and prepares herself for the impact of her homecoming, well let the chaos begin.

Jax’s POV

The whole ELQ board was located in the living room being lectured by Edward to be on their best behavior, while most were rolling their eyes Jax couldn’t wipe the smile of his face. He knew Robin would be here shortly and couldn’t wait to see everyone’s faces when she walked in the door. His eyes sweep around the room taking in all the people, Edward and Lila were next to the doors, Alan, Monica, and a slightly drunk AJ were seated on the sofa, Ned and Chloe were on the loveseat, Sonny and Alexis were talking next to the French doors, and next to the fireplace were Jason and Carly. Jax narrowed his eyes at that Carly, she wasn’t even on the board and here was. Edwards bellowing broke him out of his thoughts and he turn to catch what he was saying.

Edward: As I was saying, it is very important to that this partnership with Soltini Enterprises goes well, we want the market in Italy and these people have it cornered. No deal is finalized in Italy with out Giovanni Soltini’s approval. Now he wants to start up a branch here and is willing to work with us in Italy if we work with him here in the States.

Ned: We get it grandfather; do you know who they are sending here to be the contact person?

Edward: Giovanni was very tight-lipped about who it is and wouldn’t even give me a name, he said that she’s the best person for the job.

Further conversions were halted when Reginald walked in looking shocked, hard to managed when working with the Quartermaines for years, but everyone turn to see who walked in with him.

Well I never thought I’d see the day when every ELQ board member was shocked into silence, but believe me it’s a funny sight.

Robin’s POV

As I make my way over to the seat next to Jax, I took stock of who was in the room. While they were quiet I tried to judge everyone’s reaction. Edward, Ned, AJ were faintly shocked with calculating looks in there eyes, trying to work my presence to their own advantage. Lila, Alan, Monica, Chloe and Alexis had welcoming appearance on their faces. Sonny had a polite mask of indifference on his face but one look into his eyes and I know it was a front. Sonny could never hide his feeling from me, two years ago when he coldly told me that everything has a price and he dismissed me from his life, all it took was one look in his eyes to see he was trying to protecting me from him and his organization. His eyes now were dark with happiness, regret, guilt and apologies. I gave him a small smile of understanding and a promise to talk later and he return it.

Then I turn my eyes to Jason and Carly, I knew from Jax all about their living arrangements and couldn’t stop the rolling of my eyes. Carly though look like someone lit a fire under her, she was staring daggers at me turning red getting all upset and furious. I kinda like that look on her face it gave me a warm happy feeling; satisfaction that she noticed she was unsuccessful in ruining my life. I gave her a smirk that just seems to agitate her more. Finally Jason and I lock eyes, his held sadness, hurt, betray, longing, and something else I didn’t feel like facing here in front of everyone; fortunately by this time everyone seemed to snap out of their silence.

Robin: (let’s out a ear-piecing whistle) Whoa, calm down; one question at a time.

Alan: Good question last I’d heard you were going to Paris for the Sorbonne, and now you’re the head of one of the biggest Italian Companies, what happen to medical school Robin?

Robin: After everything that had happened before I left, I just didn’t feel like going back to school, so I went back home.

Robin: Yes, my mother moved us to Port-Charles after she’d found my father, but I was born and raised in Florence with my grandparents Filomena and Giovanni.

Edward: What, wait a minute here, are you telling me that your Giovanni’s granddaughter?

Robin: Yep, don’t you guy remember when I first came here, my last name was Soltini (everyone shakes their head no) well it’s Robin Soltini Scorpio, my mother gave me it as a middle name so no one would know I was Robert Scorpio’s daughter and come after me. Now getting back on track, I went to stay with Giovanni for a while to figure out what I want from life and he suggested that I learn his business and see if I liked it or not. I had nothing better to do so I started as an intern and learned everything there was to know about Soltini Enterprises, I was always a quick study so a year and half later Giovanni named me CEO and I started running the company under him. Anything else you want to know?

Before anyone can say anything, a cell phone goes off, everyone is checking his or hers until Robin starts speaking.

Everything stops in the room; everyone is trying to listen in on Robin’s conversion with Giovanni.

Giovanni: Nothing Bella I just missed you so instead of waiting for next week I took the jet and came early. I’m heading to your Hotel Suite now with Jasmine.

At Jasmine’s name Jax looks up watching Robin closely trying to see if any thing was wrong.

Giovanni: Don’t worry Bella, I had some of her things packed up with us, she’ll be fine. Now I’m going to be at the hotel in 10 minutes can you get there soon, someone is anxious to see you.

Robin: No problem, I’ll be there as soon as I get out of this meeting with ELQ. Give her a kiss for me and I’ll be there soon, bye.

Robin turns back to the occupants of the room but before she says anything Jax speaks up.

Robin: Don’t worry, Giovanni just came early, he going to the Suite do you want to give me a ride and come see her?

Robin: Edward this was just a meet and greet, I call you and we can schedule a proper meeting during office hours. I really need to get home now.

Just as Robin and Jax get to the door Jason speaks up asking what everyone wanted to know.

Robin and Jax freeze and look at each other knowing that everyone was thinking the same thing. Jax looks at Robin silently telling her it’s up to her if they answer. Robin nods slightly to Jax giving him the okay. Jax turns and looks Jason right in the eye.

And for the second time that day the ELQ board was shocked into silence, while Jax & Robin made their exit.

Robin sat next to Jax with a bemused look on her face, slightly shaking her head.

Jax: (still laughing) Yeah it might but did you see their faces, I think I actually heard they jaws dropping.

Robin: Come on get serious, how long you think it will take them to shake off the shock because I'm thinking some of them are going to come after us as soon as they do. And what's up with you claiming to be the father, you know that just going to cause more problems.

Jax: (stops laughing and smile impishly) I know it will, but he deserved it, I mean he was playing daddy to his nephew with that slut and your all alone raising Jasmine. (Turning serious) He hates me and I don't favor him any but if he wasn't playing house with them then you wouldn't have been alone.

Robin: It's ok, I wasn't alone I had my family, friends and especially you to help with Jasmine; you know Jasmine loves her uncle Jax.

Jax: And I adore her, knowing Jerry she'll probably be the only niece I get. (his cell phone starts ringing before he can continue. He looks at the caller ID and smirks.) Well, it looks like their calling head. "Hello Alexis"

Alexis: (yelling could be heard in the background) Jax, you know I’m you friend and all, but are you crazy? You just dropped that bombshell on this group and walk away.

Jax: (smiling at Robin) What, it’s not that bad I can only hear one person yelling.

Alexis: True but that’s just because Sonny is determined to speak with Robin, and since I came with him; where on our way to your suite.

There’s a rustling on the line as Alexis pass on that information to Sonny; then seconds later Sonny loudly demands the phone.

Sonny: Listen here you bleached blonde moron, if you so much as touched one hair on my little sister’s head I’ll rip your bloody head off. You get that; let me speak to Robin!

Jax: Sure, whatever you say Corinthos. Let me ask Robin if she wants to talk to you. (Looks at Robin) Sonny wants to talk to you; their heading to the suite, did you want to talk to him?

Robin: Sure (Jax hands her the phone) Sonny listen I don’t want to talk about this on the phone, since you’re all ready on your way meets us in penthouse 3 across from Jax’s okay.

Sonny: (calming down) Okay sweetheart, whatever you want we’ll be there in 10 minutes. See ya soon sweetie.

The rest of the ride is in silence as both occupants stare out the windows pondering the upcoming meeting.

Robin and Jax walk into the hotel room spotting and hearing Giovanni on the couch singing to Jasmine in a deep soothing voice, gently rocking her back and forth. Robin walked over to the couch watching her grandfather and daughter with an awed expression on her face, still grateful to be a mother. Age had been kind to Giovanni at 65 his 6' 4" massive frame was still strong and proud. A few laugh lines at his eyes and mouth had appeared but combined with his high cheekbones and proud chin he looked like a distinguish gentleman. His naturally wavy hair and goatee were still black only sprinkled with a little gray. Resting on his cheat was a miniature Robin; except for the light blonde hair and cobalt blue eyes Jasmine look exactly like her mother when she was young.

Giovanni: I know but it's still to long. (looking at Jasmine) Jasy, look mama here.

Robin: (picking her up) Hey baby doll, mama missed you too. Did you have fun flying on the jet with Giovanni?

As Jasmine starts prattling on about the plane ride from Italy there's a knock at the door. Giovanni walks over and opens the door to a man and a woman.

Sonny: (Sonny and Alexis look at Giovanni, appraising in Robin grandfather) Hello, where looking for Robin and Jax.

Jasmine: (stops babbling when Sonny and Alexis enter the room, looking at them and then back at Robin) Mama, who's that?

Robin: (walks over to them, still carrying her) Jasmine I'd like you to meet my old friend Sonny Corinthos and one of Jax's friends Alexis Davis; Alexis and Sonny this is Jasmine Scorpio, my daughter.

Sonny: (Taking her hand, his eyes tearing slightly looking at one of Robin dreams coming true) Nice to meet you to sweetie.

Giovanni: I think I’ll retire also; I need to make some phone calls before bed, (kissing Robin on the forehead) goodnight Bella.

Robin: (watches him leave, then turns back to Sonny & Alexis) So, I guess you have some questions, you might as well have a seat.

Robin: Couldn’t you tell by the eyes, (pauses looking Sonny in the eye) she’s Jason’s daughter.

Jax: (walking back into the room and sitting next to Robin) She tried to but that arrogant bastard could be bothered to listen to her.

Sonny: (turns toward Jax) Shut up Jax I was asking Robin (turns back to Robin) What does he mean?

Robin: Okay, so about two weeks after I arrived in Florence I went to for my monthly check-up. There were some discrepancies in one of my tests so my doctor had more blood test done; turns out I was 5 month pregnant. I never really noticed because I was always irregular and had been under some stress lately. Anyway the doctor did a sonogram, just to make sure everything was okay.

Robin: Yeah, everything was fine, I was a just little under weight but a correct diet changed that. About a week later when everything settled down I called Jason to tell him the news. We argued and when I said there was something I needed to tell him; he said he didn’t care and to stop calling him. He hung up on me; a couple of days later I tried again, he answered; told me he didn’t want to heard it and hung-up again. After that I didn’t try again I knew I couldn’t count on him to help me while he was helping that slut; so I decided to raise her myself. Giovanni, Jax, and my friends help in any way they could and on May 13, 1999 I had a c-section. Jasmine was 6 lbs 3ozs and 18 inches long, perfectly healthy; in the past 22 months she has had three HIV test and all are negative. She healthy and happy and I think I did a good job raising her on my own; I didn’t need nor to I want Jason’s help.

Sonny: (walks over to Robin and hugs her tightly) Sweetheart I’m so proud of you; I can see Stone gazing down on you and smiling he always want this for you. (pulls away) You look tried and I don’t think our keeping you up is help you any, so how about we let you get some rest and tomorrow you and your beautiful kid can meet me at Luke’s for lunch.

Robin: Sounds good, ‘bout noon, I need to see Luke anyway and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of those cheese fries.

Robin: (walks Jax, Sonny, and Alexis out in the hall, Sonny & Jax mumbling about each other while Alexis tries to play peace keeper) See ya guys later, be careful on your way home. (walks back in to the room and closes the door) well I think that went well.

Robin sits on the couch trying to relax; her thoughts were running a mile a minute. Contemplating on how to introduce Jason to Jasmine with out hurting either one of them; because when she was by herself she could admit she still loved Jason. It didn’t mean she trusted him; he was so different for the “boy with no past” days. He had let Carly into their lives and their relationship which was once so honest had became a spiders web of lies and dishonestly. Her musings were cutoff when someone knocked on the door.

Robin: (opening the door thinking it was Jax) Jax, Did ya ... (looking up into her daughter’s eyes) Jason?

Robin's Suite

Robin: <now he wants to talk, GREAT> Fine, come in but not for to long; it's late.

Jason: (nods his head and walks in going over to sit on the sofa, all the while searching for the right thing to say) How come you never told me you had a grandfather?

Jason: (he quickly ran out of both small talk and patience so he goes for one of the things he is know for, bluntness) So, what's the deal with you and Jax, didn't take you long to move on.

Robin: <no, he didn't just say that>(sharply) First off, how is it any of your business what I do? And secondly aren't you living with Carly, you don't see me asking you about that twisted situation, do you? So why don't you just say what you came here to say so I can go to bed.

Jason: (taken back at how much it hurt to be told she was no longer his business, snidely) With Jax?

Robin: (angrily) No, Jason you can't do this, two years ago you never wanted to see my face; now I'm back in town and you’re in my face making assumptions about my life style and choices? If that isn't irony I don't know what is.

Jason: (confused, not believing her) But he said you two had a daughter together, how are you not with him?

Jason: (seeing that she’s not lying, he puts his head in is hands, sighing, relieved that she's not with Jax) So you don't have a daughter with Jax, good that's good. <She’s not with Jax, good, now there’s no need to kill him> (Jason turns his head when he hears small footsteps from the bedroom area, he’s eyes widen when he sees a miniature Robin only with blonde hair walking towards them. He turns to Robin with a confused hurt expression on his face.)<She lied; she does have a daughter with Jax> (Before he can say anything Robin goes and picks her up.)

Robin: (nervous that Jasmine and Jason are in the same room and still doesn’t know how to tell him that he’s her father, she walks over and picks Jasmine up) Hey Jasy, what are you doing up?

Robin: (chuckles) Alright, let’s get you some water, (turns to Jason) I’ll be right back.

Jason: (sits there numbly as she leaves the room; thousands of thoughts running through his head, the most hurtful and paralyzing thought being: Robin, his Robin, has a child and it’s not his. He could accept that she move on, even if it was with Jax, but he always believed that if she had a child it would be theirs a piece of their love. Watches as Robin walk back in the room and sits across from him on the sofa) I thought you said you didn’t have a daughter with Jax, why did you lie to me?

Jason: (even more confused) Are you trying to tell me that little girl I just saw walk in here is not your and Jax’s daughter, (sarcastically) what are you babysitting?

Robin: (annoyed by his tone) No, Jason I’m not babysitting, that is my daughter, but her father is not Jax.

Jason: (looks up sharply, just now realizing how old Jasmine looked, looks directly in to Robins eyes) How old is she, Robin?

Jason: (jumps up and starts pacing around the room) <Okay, there’s two possibilities here; one, she cheated on me or two; she’s had my child and kept it from me. The first one is out; Robin never cheats, so I’m a father god I’m really a father and Robin didn’t tell me, why didn’t Robin tell me?>(turns and stares at Robin, calmly but clearly hurt) She’s mine isn’t she, I know you would never cheat on me no matter what was happening, so that means she’s mine and you didn’t tell me. Why didn’t you tell me? (doesn’t wait for her to answer) Is this some sort of revenge because of Michael?

Robin: Yeah, Jason she is our daughter. As for the whole revenge bit, I would never use my daughter like that and you know it, I tried to tell you but you wouldn’t listen. It’s not my fault you couldn’t be bothered to listen.

Jason: (outraged) What do you mean I wouldn’t listen; you never mentioned this subject with me.

Robin: (angrily) What you don’t remember when I call you from Italy about three weeks after I left and you continuously hung-up on me, well let me remind you.

Robin: (sits at a small table on the balcony off her room staring at the river that flows by her grandfather estate, absentmindedly playing with Stone’s ring on her finger, round and round, every so often glancing at the cordless phone on the table. She knows she has to make this call, but for the life of her she can’t pick-up the phone. She turns slightly and watches as Jax sit across from her, distantly) Hey.

Jax: (concerned) Hey, are you alright, you know you can wait to do this. (smiling impishly) He doesn’t even have to know, you could raise her on your own.

Robin: No, I have to try to tell him, even if it’s just of our child interests. I know what it is like to grow up not knowing who your parents are and wondering why they don’t want you.

Jax: (gently) Well the longer you wait, the harder it going to be. Don’t worry, whatever happens I’ll be here and so will Giovanni. I don’t think that man could be happier.

Robin: (smiles for the first time that morning) Yeah, he was delighted when I came to stay with him, I’m the only family he has left and now with the baby on the way he couldn’t be more content. He has already hired a staff to start preparing a nursery and child-proof the mansion. I told him he did have to, that it was too much but he just look at me smiled openly and said “Bella, what the point of working all my life and having all this money if I can’t spend it on my family?” I just smiled and agreed to everything, how could I say no to that?

Jax: (smiling) You couldn’t and he knew you wouldn’t. (seriously) If you want I can sit here while you call him, I’ll be your moral support buddy.

Robin: (touched that he would offer, given that he hates Jason) Thanks, (sighs) well here goes nothing.

Robin picks up the phone and starts dialing the penthouse across from Sonny, as it starts to ring Jax reaches across the table and holds her hand. Robin gives him a smile then turns back to the river when Jason picks up.

Robin: (taken back by his still evident anger towards her) I needed to tell you something.

Robin: (starting to get angry) Look, I wouldn’t call if it wasn’t important, there’s something I seriously need to tell you.

Jason: (picking up on her anger, and resenting her for everything he might lose to AJ) Listen, you made you choice, you told AJ about Michael and now I’m here fighting to keep him where he belongs, with me and Carly so…

Robin: (interrupts him before he can say anything else) No, he belongs with his parents and that is AJ and Carly, not you, if you never went along with Carly’s shameful lie, you would never be in that position, would you?

Jason: (starting to madder at her, yelling) Michael belongs with me, I’m his father in every way that matters, and AJ doesn’t deserve to be his father, he is a drunk and only wants Michael for his ELQ standing. Now I don’t care what you have to say, I have more important things to do then listen to you and your glowing approval of AJ’s abilities. Don’t call me again!(slams the phone down)

Robin: (shocked, than angered that he hung-up on her, she slams her phone back on the table, yelling at it) You goddamned pig-head arrogant bastard!

Jax: (shocked by Robin language, and trying to lighten the mood) Guess those pregnant hormones are starting to kick in, huh?

Jax: (seeing that she’s upset by the call, he smiles gently at her) I always heard about your hormones changing when you’re pregnant, (Robin’s expression lightens slightly) Guess he didn’t want to listen?

Robin: (somberly) No, he’s still angry and not willing to listen, I’ll try back in a couple of days and hopefully than he’ll listen.

Robin: Well, if he doesn’t I’ll just raise her it on my own, I don’t need his help.

Robin: Later that week I called again and you hung-up after I said my name, so don’t you dare say I didn’t try and tell you. If you weren’t so pig-headed and angry I would have been able to tell you.

Jason: (sitting there numbly in shock, because he did remember that conversion and all the hurtful things he’d said, angry at himself because if he would have just listened he could have been in his daughter’s life from the beginning. He looks over to Robin and says the only thing he can say, quietly) I’m sorry; I don’t know what else to say but I am so sorry.

Robin: (looks him in the eye and can tell he’s not lying) I’m sorry too, look I know you probably have a lot of questions and things you want to talk about, but it’s later and I have some early meetings tomorrow, so do you think we can postpone this until tomorrow?

Jason: (looks closely at her and sees that she is bordering on exhaustion) Yeah that’s fine, when do you want to meet?

Robin: (faintly smiling) Jasmine and I are going to Luke’s around 11:30 to see Luke, then we’re having lunch with Sonny there so lets say around two, since I’m going to be at Luke’s, do you want to meet us there or would you rather meet back here?

Jason: (walking over to the door, with Robin behind him) How bout here so that I can meet my daughter in private (smiles) wow I have a daughter, I didn’t catch her name earlier, what was it?

Robin: (holding on to the door, seeing his hurt expression) I never say it and only family knows, because back in Italy it caused to many questions, but her birth certificate reads Jasmine Vivian Scorpio Morgan, and tomorrow if you want I’ll explain why I named her that, ‘kay?

Jason: (smiling again) Yeah, that would be great, see ya tomorrow. (turns and walks over to the elevators)

Robin: Goodnight (watches as the elevators open Jason steps in and gives her a smile, which she returns as the doors close. As she walks back in she feels as if some kind of weight has been lifted off her shoulders that she wasn’t aware of before. Going into her bedroom and getting ready, she reviews the long day she had with the ELQ Board meeting, Sonny’s questions, and then Jason’s questions, knowing things could have been worse, she blissfully settles into bed hoping tomorrow meetings would all go smoothly as she drifts off to sleep.
